The drainage project

This backyard had some issues, it was very shady making it hard to grow grass on it. There are also many large trees on the property and in the neighboring properties. Compaction was an issue as was drainage and water runoff.

The clients had kids that they wanted to be able to play in the yard but also have an area for adults to entertain in and also have planters for growing flowers and teaching their kids some gardening skills.

We added a French drain to most of the backyard to help catch water as well as an added strip drain to the bluestone patio that we installed. In the main garden area, artificial grass was added along with some custom-built planters.

We saved an old bath and also reused some old stones that were already on the property to create an added desing element.
